The Decreasing Number of Hidden Paradise

What will you do after you watch a video from Youtube about a hidden paradise in a remote village near the mountain in a very small town in your province? Will you share the link of the video to your friends? Or will you plan to visit that hidden place to prove that it is a real paradise?

If you love to see the beauty of nature, there is nothing wrong with telling your close friends and relatives to visit that place. You want them to love the beauty of nature, too. And it's good to enjoy together with the loved ones, strengthening the bond. It really feels exclusively peaceful.

However, it will feel totally different if there are so many other people enjoying the paradise. You cannot hear the sound from the nature. What you hear is human's voice: people chatting, laughing when taking pictures, eating their snack, slurping their soda. Non-nature sounds can also be heard: cars and motorcycles parking, music jingling from ice cream bikes, feet stepping on plastic garbage.

Why on earth are there lots of people coming to that hidden paradise? Of course it's because of the link shared to friends and the people's curiosity and lust for exploring new places. And that means business. The villagers living there will suddenly sell foods, drinks, accessories, and toilet facilities. The much richer persons will build a home-stay for tourists spending the nights or a restaurant providing the best culinary in town.

Then, the local government becomes interested in managing that hidden paradise. Efforts will be made to beautify and to complete the facilities for that hidden paradise. So, the paradise will be open to everyone who wants to devour the place. The local government will get income from that place because of the entrance ticket and the paid tax. A little money from that income will be used for maintenance of that place.

And later on, that place becomes ordinary. Visitors will consider that place not natural, but man-made. Then it becomes boring. There is also no more fresh, clean air because of the exhausts from the buildings and vehicles. The hidden paradise is gone.

Therefore, if you suddenly find a hidden paradise somewhere, try not to expose it with the hope that the hidden paradise will always be hidden.
