For me, those are beauty. If you are brave enough to look closely at the cute faces of those caterpillars, there is the beauty.
Just in case you are not inspired by their life, let me elaborate it based on my personal understanding. Who knows right after you finish reading this, you will start to not get rid of caterpillars and admire them more.
- A caterpillar starts its life alone, only being able to crawl on leaves. It consumes those leaves as nutrition for its body. It doesn't get any help from other caterpillars to find food though perhaps it will meet them on its way. That nutritious consumption is to prepare for the next phase.
- The inspiringly amazing phase is when a caterpillar forms a cocoon or chrysalis and it hangs upside down on a leaf. It needs solitude. It's like a meditative state. It doesn't need any interference from other creatures to complete this process. It focuses on itself to grow to awe the world.
- Then after some days in the cocoon, it is ready to come out to be a beautifully awesome butterfly, a short-lived creature, but being able to spread happiness to the world with its amazing color.
In conclusion, we human can do that, too. Let us consume what is good for us mentally and physically.
Then, let us spend more of our time to have a really qualified solitude. That is an excellent time to contemplate our substance as a human being.
The outcome of our solitude will reflect upon how we face the world. We will bring happiness with our kindness. Toxic persons will not come near us. We don't need validation and admiration from others. We are just being us.
