Doing what you love

Have you ever been in a moment when you are still questioning about your passion? Is it true that what you are doing now is really your true passion? Or is it just the thing that you have to do to make a living?

Some days ago, I met an old friend of mine. She sold products of a famous brand. And I got interested in buying one product. After the transaction, she tried to influence me to join her to become the member. She said that it was a nice way to make money; by selling the products. I said no. The shocking thing coming from her mouth was: "Why are you so lazy to make money? You have to earn a living! So, selling these products is a good way. Why do you say no?"

Well, am I wrong if I say no? People with passions in selling will, of course, say that I am very very wrong. I am stupid, they say. But how if I say that I have my own passion in making money, and that's not selling products? I think people with passions other than selling will agree with me. We don't have to earn a living by selling products. We can earn a living by doing the things that we love. For example, if I really love gardening, I can do many things with that hobby. I can design a small park; I can give a short course on gardening; I can work in a florist; or even I can have my own florist. What?? Having my own florist?? Doesn't that mean I sell my flowers? If yes, what's wrong? That's my own business and I love that, and some people want to love that too. And if they want to buy the flowers from me, will I say no? Of course I will say yes. It's like meeting a soul mate when you love flowers and you meet a person who loves flowers too. And thanks to God if I can make money from doing the thing that I like. With all my heart, I would love to survive in that business.

Truly speaking, gardening is not my hobby. I was just giving an example. I have my own passion which I am doing with all my heart. God knows that I love doing that, so I believe He will give me what I deserve.
